Houston, TX – Evolution Strategy Partners (“Evolution”) is pleased to announce that Manny Gonzalez, longtime friend of the firm, has been honored with the Man of Achievement award presented annually by the Phi Kappa Theta Foundation. Past inductees have included such highly accomplished persons as Paul Allen (co-founder, Microsoft) and Vince Dooley (legendary football coach, University of Georgia).

Noted Mr. Gonzalez, “My mind and my heart are still trying to process what occurred that weekend. I have been blessed with my wonderful wife of forty years, Lucinda, my loving daughters, great friends, and a successful career. But I honestly underestimated what fraternal brotherhood has meant to my life. To be recognized as ‘Man of Achievement’ by these wonderful men I call my brothers was exceptionally meaningful and truly validated the pillars of our brotherhood we proudly call Phi Kappa Theta.”

Manny has been a recognized executive leader in the environmental services industry for over 30 years and recently branched out into the business services industry by assuming the CEO role at Westco Grounds Maintenance of Houston in 2020. He is originally from Kingsville, Texas where he attended primary school, high school and then college at Texas A&I University where he received his B.S. in Geology.

The Phi Kappa Theta National Foundation is a nonprofit organization founded in 1954 through the generosity of Brother Paul Galvin (Illinois Institute of Technology), President and Founder of the Motorola Corporation. Today, the Foundation’s board, volunteers, and staff work together to support the next generation of servant leaders. The Man of Achievement Award, started in 1980, is awarded by the Foundation’s Board of Trustees, and is the highest honor bestowed upon Brothers of Phi Kappa Theta Fraternity. The award recognizes members who have risen to prominence in their chosen fields and remain committed to being servant leaders.

Evolution is proud of its decade-long association with Mr. Gonzalez and is actively seeking additional operating partners who demonstrate Manny’s leadership experience, character, and interest in lower middle-market buyouts.
